Variations of snow cover

The snow conditions are starting to look really bad for the time of year. Sure, you can ski. But only above the tree line. Above approx. 1400m, you can ski in the forest with difficulty on forest paths or in aisles. There is also little snow further up, steeper slopes on the south side are slowly petering out, a lot has also been transported by the wind, but even in hollows etc. there is not much snow. Some of the ridges are impassable, but some are quite good again.

Hard, pressed snow

Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

Three stars, as there is still some good powder snow to be found. Unfortunately, the snow surface, like the snow cover, is very changeable and there is a bit of everything. Slight changes in exposure to the sun and/or wind make all the difference.

Risks

North West North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Relatively relaxed. However, you should be careful on or under steep sunny slopes. Here you can observe both loose wet snow slides and sliding snow.

Overall impression

Equal

It will probably stay the same as long as it doesn't snow, although the snow will slowly get worse and worse.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
