Snow condition
We found it easy to descend and ascend the glacier without ropes. The descent from the Mittelbergjoch also had enough snow for sliding down. There was still too little snow for a descent via the Taschachferner.
Snow quality
Wind-blown snow on the glacier. At the top, you rarely broke through, it was much easier to ski than it looked. At the bottom it was more like broken snow. Below the glacier there was about 10cm of powder, but I didn't have enough base for off-piste skiing. The snow quality must have been rather mediocre right after the last fresh snow, even the obvious freeride routes are not covered in tracks.
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
Due to the hard snow cover and, according to the LLB, a very rare old snow problem, it seemed very safe to us :-)
Overall impression
Super nice day on the mountain :-) Skiing was ok - the slopes on the Pitztal Glacier would have been the better choice today, we skied a lap in the morning and the slopes were rarely perfect!

Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
