Snow condition

Partly very inhomogeneously distributed: Generally much less in the higher elevations, in sheltered and blown-in terrain formations there is quite a bit, sometimes around 2 meters. All in all, I'd say it's okay, at least enough that you now have a certain choice of downhill variants and can also do a bit of bolting. You can ski down into the valley on all the clearer paths on the north side. If possible, however, it is advisable to start at around 1000m, especially when the vegetation becomes denser.

Snow quality

It was best purely on the snow side, above the tree line relatively compact but fast powder. In the forest it was more difficult in places, but still ok. Avoid everything in the sun and wind.

The high altitudes are not to be trusted and it's not worth it anyway, due to the blasted areas there. It's very warm in the sun, so wet snow slides may be an issue further down.

Overall impression

Guter Tag bei grandiosem Wetter, Gesellschaft und Ambiente, überwiegend gutem Schnee und oben einer ziemlich unberührten Line. Leider ist es seit gestern tagsüber sehr warm, da sind die Einsinktiefen teilweise nicht mehr so groß. Aber in nordöstlichen Expositionen war der Schnee teilweise richtig top. In den Hochlagen muss man sehr schauen, oft ist es blankgefegt und steile, große Hänge würde ich auch meiden. Finde ich aber auch nicht schlimm, man kann in den höheren Wäldern schon einiges machen. Natürlich ist sehr viel los, aber man kann noch unverspurtes finden, wenn auch nicht häufig.
