Snow condition

Little sense below 2000 (E-S-W), from 2200 upwards up to 25 cm of fresh snow. Above 2800 largely carefree skiing as long as it doesn't get too steep (<30°). Descent into the valley only possible via the Rifflsee piste.

Snow quality

Cold, no wind, wonderful! No contact with the ground above 2800, then more and more below that due to decreasing amounts of fresh snow. Below 2600 already damp from midday due to diffuse radiation

Quite stable. Loose snow slide in suitable terrain

Overall impression

Sehr schöne Tour mit mehr Neuschnee, als von unten gedacht. Leider ziemlich schlechte Sicht. Mit den angesagten Temperaturen wird es das aber bis weit hoch mit Powder gewesen sein. Mal sehen, wo sich der Aufwand nächstes WE noch lohnt.
