Altitude

Avalanche warning level

Exposition

North North-Eas North-West

Snow condition

2 von 5 Sterne
50 cm fresh snow
Descent to valley (to 900 m)
Stone Contact avoidable

Some fresh snow on a still weak base. In the forest below, stone contact could only be avoided by walking, otherwise, with care, the snow conditions are sufficient. Better snow conditions would make the ascent easier, especially in terrain transitions.

Snow quality

Powder snow

Up to half a meter of fresh snow, of the finest quality. Great to ski!

Risks

North North-Eas North-West

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

The LLB warned of drift snow, but there was no sign of wind influence below 2000m. That's why the conditions were very favorable for us today. Of course, this can look different at higher altitudes.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

We chose a small valley/ a wide gully that stretches up to 2100 meters. The ascent was difficult due to a weak base and lots of fresh snow, and terrain transitions were difficult. The descent was pretty *WOW*. You couldn't feel the base until about 1200. With a better base and a little more sun, this would be 4****, I categorize this tour as 3***+!
