Snow condition

At the Franz Senn hut, the stones are now peeking out from the terrace.

Snow quality

Above 2800m there is still powder on the snow side - in places. Below that it becomes a silky must and even further down it just turns to slush. On flat glaciers we found something like firn on the south-east side, which was really cool.

Overall impression

Jetzt wärs vielleicht bald soweit, dass der Firn gedeiht. Aber vielleicht wird's ja mit dem Neuschnee auch ganz nett :)
