Snow condition

With the first significant snowfall (>30 cm), you can venture out onto the meadows. Unfortunately, the wind has created a very inhomogeneous blanket of snow. A terrain with little wind influence is highly advisable in order to ski properly. You can go ski touring, but the possibilities are still limited.

Snow quality

Despite the influence of the wind, the snow is quite good in the calmer areas. The sinking depths are not enormous, but the snow is quite fast.

The main danger in meadow terrain comes from rocks, stones, streams and botany.

Overall impression

Nice first day of ski touring on the doorstep. I hope the season continues like this.
