First you have to carry 300 meters. Then you have to search a bit off the beaten track to find the descent. On the south side there is still more or less closed snow cover up to 1400m. On the north side, downhill skiing is possible up to 1200m.

Risks

Crevasse or fall danger
North North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Danger of falling on even the slightest steep slope. You have to be very careful where the terrain leads. It is better to avoid steep slopes above areas with a lot of consequence, such as forests or rockfalls, or not to fall.

Worse

Hochgrat is hardly worthwhile with skis. The carrying passage is very long. The rain has nibbled away all the fresh snow from the pre-Christmas period and left a lousy layer of ice up to the highest altitudes. For good and sensible tours, you would now have to dig deep into your bag of tricks.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
