Powder snow

The perfect tour with the perfect snow was exciting today. On the north side, good powder has been preserved, partly pressed by the wind to slab powder. On the sunny side there was already a layer of hardpack. In wind-calm hollows and slopes, good powder below 1600 meters 20 cm on a hard base

Risks

Old snow problem

Diurnal warming
South-East

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

The last few days have seen isolated small to medium-sized loose snow avalanches. Situation has eased. Older accumulations of drift snow are still problematic.

Little sun on the north side today, fresh temperatures. Found good powder runs in wind-calm slopes & gullies. Therefore 4 stars
