Stone Contact avoidable

Out of the ski area, there is enough snow in all exposures to explore the area without hesitation. You can't completely rule out the odd stone contact, but it was within reason.

Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

The top hit. In the wind-protected cirques there is unbelievably great powder snow. In the NE, unfortunately, a light wind cap in the afternoon. In the other expos it's still light, except south from about 30 degrees. It's got melt crusts on it here.

Risks

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

Never before have I experienced such a combo of great snow, the best weather and seemingly absolute safety. Only in the NE at the very top of the Erlispitze did we forego a slope due to the wind work aim during the course of the day.

Better

Yes, the madness. You don't need to get off the lift on the Arlberg now before the snowfall. But with a little ascent you can still find great lines. A dream day.
