At the top end of the Upper Engadine, it is covered in thick snow, which you would hardly believe on the outward journey. A few kilometers further on, much less so. It's like a magical land.

Powder snow

Set flitzepow at its best - not the fastest, good for not putting too much strain on tired legs in cruising mode. In our selected tour, almost no wind influence.

Risks

Abort the tour
Fresh avalanches

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

Critically assessed the first steep slope, as the fresh snow lay on a crunchy crust. With a glance at the map, it would have been easy to avoid. The sun tickled the sides facing the sun and as we were standing on this slope traverse, a snowball tumbled down, fell onto the next rock band and just triggered a 15-20cm high board, which then widened quite quickly and picked up speed and shot past us.

What a beautiful tour at the end of our trip. We hadn't seen anyone for the whole day and we couldn't decide where to go because of all the lines. Rattling through the larch forest in the most beautiful light in the Groupshred, what more could you want? We cruised comfortably to the boot and enjoyed a beer with the last rays of sunshine. It doesn't get any better than this.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
