Above about 1600 meters it was absolutely sufficient, below that the fresh snow fell on almost no surface.

Incredibly good, deep and fast. You could ride everything you could dream of in this powder!

Everything was unbound and fluffy. Maybe there were a few small snow packs along the ridge, but nothing to worry about. At higher altitudes, however, things might look different!
Overall impression
What a day, what a winter comeback. We already knew it had snowed, but so much and so well, it was a surprise. We were pretty much alone in the Lagorai today, and thanks to the clouds we weren't stressed by the daytime warming. The influence of the wind was noticeable on the ridge, otherwise it was silky, fast powder of the very best quality. Only at the bottom did the base become thin. My three previous tours had been on pistes and my hopes were slowly fading... Today we were more than compensated. Bliss!
