Snow condition
The snow conditions are really good thanks to the fresh snow and you can get down everywhere without coming into contact with stones. The ridges also look like there's a lot more snow than last week. Let's see how long it stays that way.
Snow quality
Good snow quality in the Lizum. Even a few days after the snowfall, good conditions can still be found in areas protected from the wind. Where there is a lot of track and where the wind has been working, the conditions are a little worse. Everything that is exposed to the sun is also slowly getting a cap, which is bad for skiing.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: medium
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Drift snow is currently the main danger. This lies on soft layers or on weak old snow and can be easily triggered if a weak layer and board are available. There has been a lot of wind in places and some slopes look rather avalanchey, but pretty much everything there is has been skied in the Lizum over the past few days.
Overall impression
Nice, short freeride day in the Lizum. Still good snow and beautiful slopes, only the high fog and the diffuse light spoiled the experience somewhat. With the sunny day tomorrow it should be better, especially visibility should improve.
