Variations of snow cover

For the beginning of March, winter has already retreated a long way up. However, good snow conditions from around 1500 meters. Downhill runs in the valley are no longer possible. Unbuckle and carry again and again - or by bike, if possible to the snow line. After discussions in the group, 1-5 cm of fresh snow emerged above 1700 meters

Powder snow

Well - unfortunately we were too early. We didn't get the forecast sun and warmth around the desired firn. So we had to make do with a little bit of powder on the north-facing slopes and some firn below 1700 meters.
