Snow condition

Very good snow conditions, with all slopes, ridges and crests well covered in snow. All crevasses on the glacier are also very well covered and even otherwise rather stony ridges are well filled with snow.

Snow quality

Thanks to the fresh snow from the night before last and yesterday during the day, there is powder snow in all exposures. This is a little more settled and heavier on sunny slopes, but easy to ski. On south-facing slopes, it tends to be crushed snow, but depending on the protection from the wind, it can also be heavy powder.

The main danger is wet snow and drifting snow. Pay particular attention to cornices, which are sometimes extremely large. Strong winds overnight and during the day increase the accumulation of drift snow, but these are easy to recognize.

Overall impression

Schöne Tour von der Tuoi Hütte auf das Silvretta-Egghorn und die Fuorcla da Cunfin. Skifahrerisch beides sehr lohnend und auch guter Schnee. Vor allem auch die lange Abfahrt von Plan Rai zur Tuoi Hütte im Schatten des Piz Buin ist bei diesen Verhältnissen wirklich traumhaft. Mit der schlechten Sicht am Montag sicher schlechter, danach wieder interessant und gut.
