Snow condition

Still good as far as sheltered high altitudes are concerned. The glaciers are still covered in snow. But there are very long paths everywhere. After cycling through the kilometer-long valleys, you usually still have to carry a lot.

Snow quality

The few centimetres of fresh snow lie on a hard layer on the sunny side at high altitudes and are soon moistened. But it skis quite well, relatively quickly. It doesn't warm up so quickly in the shade, but there's a brittle crust underneath, which wasn't so great. Wind exposed and still quite hard in places. Good summer snow at the bottom, still a bit rough in places.

A few loose snow slides from today and yesterday could be seen, but mostly smaller ones.

Overall impression

Solo Tagesmission in einsamer Ecke in der Venedigergruppe mit langem, schneelosen Zustieg/fahrt. Aber in den Hochlagen liegt noch recht ordentlich was, es schaut wahnsinnig schön aus. :) Man kann sowohl gute, als auch eher bescheidene Schneequalitäten vorfinden. Die nächsten Tage sollten so ähnlich sein, ab Mitte nächster Woche ist ein Wetterumschwung mit etwas Schneefall in den Hochlagen hervorgesagt.
