Snow condition
Below 2900m there is usually no more snow in the terrain except on glaciers. Towards the top (3200+) there is a strong increase and rocky flanks have more snow than very rarely in October.

Overall impression
On 25.10 the conditions were still quite good on the steep north side above 3000m with a small layer of powder. Unfortunately, this changed due to the rain and the warm temperatures on October 26th. Unfortunately, an ice crust has formed up to the very top at 3400m, which is no longer soft on the north side, so we chose to ski down via a south-west facing glacier which was nice and soft at midday. The ski touring possibilities are generally very limited and you have to be prepared to carry your skis/splitboard until you are in the snow if you don't want to do piste tours. The pictures are from 25.10 & 27.10.
