Snow condition

The current level in Al Aqua is approx. 15cm, set Pow, without a significant base. It gets more at altitude. At approx. 2000m, in wind-protected areas max. 50cm, even without a significant base. Exposed areas (backs, ridges) are heavily blown off. Stone contact again and again. Unfortunately, this can hardly be avoided.

Snow quality

very small-scale changing conditions, from blown off, to wind-capped, to good pow.

Act. there is too little snow in the area for larger avalanches. Today, some (few) loose snow slides on the sunny side. Be careful in areas where the wind has calmed down, as there is sometimes a lot of packed snow.

Overall impression

Wer akt. Skitouren machen möchte findet hier ausreichend Schnee im Aufstieg, in der Abfahrt ist defensive und vorausschauende Fahrweise angebracht. In den inzw. pistenartig eingefahrenen Hauptabfahrten geht's ganz gut. Im Gelände nur in eingeblasenen Rinnen und Mulden gut. Alle Querungen über Grate und Rücken bringen Steinkontakte.
