Snow condition

There was a lot of snow last weekend, up to a meter I guess. The shady cirques will probably last until May. Some of the mountain pines are even covered in snow. It's a bit annoying on the forest roads now, we had a hard time with our gravel bikes. But it's getting better

Snow quality

Meeeeeega. Really soft, springy drift snow, which is already partly built up on top and lets it slide. Firn can be skied on the east and west sides.

Dry: We found it relatively safe today. Our key section was just under 40 degrees steep on the north side at 2700. So it was exactly what they warned us about. We're still alive, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was the right decision.... Wet: There's already a lot of loose snow and the entire snow cover is wet on the south side.

Overall impression

Safe one of the best days this year! In the Karen, which are somewhat protected from the west, you can absolutely go full throttle, from around 1900. The KR is now in full swing, but I don't recommend following our exit line to the game feeding area, as we got a bit of a mess at the bottom.
