Snow condition

Approximately 10 to 15cm without a base, which means that there is always ground contact on the descent (harmless on this tour, as the terrain used to be piste and almost only grass). The ascent track is well trodden and firm.

Snow quality

1 von 5 Sterne

Due to the warming (from about -7 degrees to +1 degree since yesterday) the snow has settled, is moist and heavy.

Risks

LWS 1 according to LLB and confirmed by own assessment on site - low snow thickness, but no good connection to the ground. No avalanche danger on this tour today.

Overall impression

1 von 5 Sterne

As one of the first tours on the eastern edge of the Alps, quite nice, but the snow conditions are still a bit poor. There is about 20cm missing for usable downhill fun without worrying about equipment.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
