Snow condition

It snowed 10-15 cm overnight and up to midday. This new layer now covers everything again and it's white again. But it's still tricky because there's not enough snow overall.

Snow quality

The fresh snow is relatively heavy and should serve as a great base for more snow as long as it survives. On the sun-exposed slopes, it has already started to firn up in the last few days, which means that they now have an icy base under the fresh snow.

Risks

The LLB actually says it all, above 2000m there are sometimes heavy drifts that form new snow packs and require some caution.

Overall impression

With the fresh snow, things are heading in the right direction, but a little more is still needed for carefree lines. However, with a good knowledge of the area and a bit of searching, you can make a few acceptable to good turns through the terrain.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
