Snow report Central Switzerland, 02/01/2015
SLF meldete für heute Warnstufe 4. Vor allem oberhalb von 2000 Metern ist es gefährlich. Deshalb haben wir uns heute darunter aufgehalten - und hatten Spass bis 435 Meter über Meer.

Snow condition
Perfect. At 1600 meters above sea level, it has dumped a good meter of snow over the last few days. And even in the valley at 435 meters there was still enough. We didn't hit a single stone or other surface all day.
Snow quality
Fluffy Pow Pow. I have rarely experienced much better snow at this altitude. Even in the valley, it doesn't get wet in the freezing temperatures.
Risks
SLF has adjusted the warning level from 4 to 3 for tomorrow. The fresh snow - and a lot has fallen in central Switzerland - has not yet bonded at all in the cold temperatures. However, I haven't made any noticeable observations between 1600 and 435 meters. They only blew up one slope. It's amazing what came down there!!! So don't be under any false sense of security!!!
Overall impression
By far the best day of the season. At no more than 1600 meters above sea level, of course. I haven't seen as many face shots as today for a long time. And that with a height of 196 centimetres. Nevertheless, take care of yourself over the next few days. We skipped a lot of slopes today because they were too steep or we weren't confident enough. But it was still worth it.
