Snow condition
Saturday was still really disastrous for March. Especially on the south side below 2000 meters it was mostly a bit green. Above that it was ok, but you really saw a lot of stones. And you had to look for your way. Today we had about 20-30cm of fresh snow and it continued to snow all day. Now the situation looks a bit different again. The snowfall that reached the valley today turned everything into a wintry white again.
Snow quality
On Saturday it was still the finest broken snow or terrain that was simply like concrete due to the wind. A snow profile showed a 10-15cm high crust. The snow was well bonded underneath. Due to the snowfall today, which has largely fallen without much wind influence, the whole thing is now like a sliding layer.
Risks
Yesterday according to LLB warning level two. I would confirm this, even in the afternoon it didn't really clear up. Today it was warning level 3. The snowfall, which couldn't really get a grip on the old snow cover, made the whole thing look like a sliding layer.
Overall impression
Today there was finally some power again and despite the poor visibility and the slush on Saturday we had two great days.
