Skitour in den Hohen Tauern

Overall impression
Snow condition
End of November as in high winter! With the snowfall from the WE plus the old snow cover, the snow cover height will be around one meter on average.
Snow quality
Quality of the finest kind. Nice cold deep powder. Hardly any wind influence on our downhill variant (keep your eyes open when choosing your route). After midday on the descent in a north-west exposure, already very slightly set, but still a pleasure!
Risks
The wind has left its mark high up in the Alps! Chutes and hollows are well filled with drift snow. Steep slopes in the east and west exposures are already partly unloaded! Leeward slopes should be treated with caution. The situation could be considered tense today (warning level THREE).
Overall impression
Genius tour! It was just us on the mountain and the weather got better and better as the day went on. Sunshine galore in the end! The track work was very intensive today and the day was crowned with a brilliant descent in wonderful powder.
