Snow report Stubai Valley, 01/10/2014

Snow condition

Only just achieved the fourth star, as the snow conditions are just below average and you sometimes get through on stones in places exposed to the wind. All in all, however, very good down to the valley.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

Very nice loose 20cm powder on a firm base that you can't get through. (So no dust on crust feeling). The rain crust of last weekend in other areas obviously didn't happen in the region.

Risks

The situation has now eased, LLB is issuing a 2. Due to the warm temperatures, steep south-facing slopes should be treated with caution. Apart from that, there are a few wind loads, but they are easy to recognize and some of them have already gone.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Very nice day in a little-visited area with perfect snow and relaxed avalanche conditions.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
