It's thawing happily, especially on the sunny side and generally below 1500m there is often not enough snow for skiing.
Snow quality
Well. You can tell that it hasn't snowed significantly since mid-February. Even tours that are seldom used have been tracked, any snow that is still soft has been moved by the wind at some point, i.e. there is rarely soft drift snow, lots of broken snow or, with a bit of luck and good timing, firn.
Risks
Rather relaxed, watch out for daytime warming and wet snow avalanches.
