Snow condition
basically unchanged from the day before yesterday. unfortunately there wasn't much fresh snow. there's not much to be had in the terrain below 1500m, i.e. you definitely need a ski slope to be able to ski down into the valley properly. above 1500m there's up to 10cm of fresh pow on a firm base. today we were back on the north side and again didn't catch any sharks. if you watch out for rocks, ridges and edges that are now covered in snow, you can choose your line almost without restrictions.
Snow quality
the pow fell without much wind and it was cold all day. it stayed light and loose on the north side. just great pow, the way it should be.
Risks
the tiroler 3er was again too high for the area today. there were also things with >40°. there were only superficial, smaller loose snow slides and a very small snow slab directly on the ridge. current drift snow deposits are rather small-scale, but well snowed in. the main problem is probably the very stable, icy and hard old snow surface, if a lot of fresh snow falls on it (hopefully soon), it will probably not hold very well.
Overall impression
3 stars, for a great ski touring day. great weather, great pow and overall a very successful choice of tour.
will stay that way on the north side for the next few days.
