Snow report Vaud and Fribourg Alps, 01/31/2015
Gstaad oder doch Japow?

Snow condition
Everything is tight, almost all the barbed wires that the Pasans like to leave hanging here are covered. The new 1.20 cm were not accumulated but really there. In some cases, a small gust of wind is enough to cover an entire slope within a short time (see photo)
Snow quality
Dust on powder, it could hardly be better in the Alps. Ultralight and unbelievably AWESOME!
Risks
Actually, you rarely have the embarrassment of entering the really dangerous zones here in the snowfall-related visibility conditions. But when our standard traverse at an altitude of 1700 started to blow at 13:00, we quickly abandoned it. The strongly wind-pressed, blown-out north-facing fields in the rocks look dangerously loaded. I wouldn't do it.
Overall impression
Actually speechless but still so much to tell...The grin went from one ear to the other at the end of the day and only the last lift could stop us from continuing for at least another 4 hours. What the heck -> EPIC!
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
