Snow condition

3 von 5 Sterne

So far so good, which means you can't complain at all. Possibly a bit above average in the more southern areas of the Tux Alps. The usual tours and variants are possible without any problems, but during the warm and sunny last week some south and south-east slopes were completely cleared by wet snow avalanches. Unfortunately, the snowfall yesterday was very unproductive here with just under 5cm...

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

There is still good snow, but it is no longer easy to find. There is melted snow on sunny slopes and often windsnow in ridge areas. In addition, thanks to the great touring conditions of the last week, there is a lot of really heavy snow. If you can still find untracked snow in a shady and wind-protected location, the snow is settled but very good to ski, here I would probably award 4 stars, but in many other areas only 2. 3 on average.

Risks

Not too critical, but you should still be careful. There is drift snow, and you should also watch out for wet snow.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

The unexpectedly good weather makes up for it, even if the fresh snow could have been a bit more abundant, snowing tracks would have been important. Not to be overlooked is the ever-increasing ski touring trend, rarely seen such tracked terrain in the Tux mountains...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
