From advanced to expert. It is not for nothing that high-altitude ski tours are known as the supreme discipline of ski touring. The mountains are higher, the ascents more challenging and the snow cover in the high mountains in winter requires special attention. Ski touring days in the vicinity of 3000 metre peaks remain unforgettable experiences.

Who can take part? If you already have ski touring experience and are agile and have the skills for easy climbs, nothing should stop you from registering for this weekend. As an experienced ski tourer, ascents of between 1,000 and 1,200 metres in altitude and easy climbs are no problem for you. You are also already familiar with your avalanche transceiver equipment and are ready to take your ski touring & avalanche safety skills to the next level.
INFOS & PROCESS
You will need an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe. You will also need a climbing harness with two locking carabiners & crampons for your ski boots. You will be sent a detailed list of materials after registration. If you do not have one or more items of equipment available, please let SNOWHOW know when you register and we will be happy to provide you with suitable rental equipment.
Meeting point on Thu, 14.03.2024 at 11:00 at the M-Preis supermarket car park in Neustift im Stubaital
approx. 2.5-hour ascent to the hut, small afternoon snack & followed by a short afternoon ski tour with an extensive exercise on the subject of emergency avalanches. In the evening, the tour destinations for the next two days are planned
