The Alpinefair offers an extensive programme with exciting workshops, informative presentations on topics such as safety and mountain sports as well as adventure zones that invite visitors to become active. Visitors can find out about the latest trends, products and techniques in areas such as mountaineering, ski touring, climbing, trail running and alpine travelling.

Alpinfair 2024: Europe's largest mountain sports trade fair

From 16th to 17th November 2024, the Alpinfair with Alpine Forum, Europe's leading mountain sports trade fair and conference, will take place in Innsbruck. This annual event brings together experts, mountain sports enthusiasts, major organisations and brand manufacturers.

Highlights of the Alpinefair 2024

Alpine Forum

A special highlight is the Alpine Forum, organised by the Austrian Board of Trustees for Alpine Safety (ÖKAS). This annual conference is dedicated to specialised alpine issues and is aimed at experts, multipliers and interested parties from the specialist world. The Alpine Forum offers a platform to promote safety and personal responsibility in the mountains and imparts specialist knowledge through renowned speakers.
The program of this year's Alpine Forum is divided into the following three thematic blocks:

  • 09:30-12:00 Topic block #1
    "What has changed in the mountains?"

  • 13:30-16:30 Topic block #2

    "Mountain professionals: consequences in everyday working life and training?"

  • 16:30-18:00 Topic block #3
    "Piste professionals: new problems in everyday life in ski resorts?"

Workshops

It doesn't get more hands-on than this: the workshops at the Alpine Trade Fair impart expert knowledge and offer the chance to practise skills in ski touring, climbing, trail running or mountain safety and test brand new equipment up close. How about a guided session on the climbing wall? Or an avalanche transceiver workshop for your next trip into the backcountry? The workshops offer in-depth knowledge, provide an introduction to equipment and give important tips on equipment, technique etc. It's worth taking part!

    • Risk'n Fun Freeride (insight into the risk'n'fun FREERIDE training programme)

    • Presentation Mammut Barryvox

  • High-altitude-tours -safe on the glacier

    • High-altitude-tours 1 (equipment & roping up)

    • High-altitude-tours 2 ( 2 methods of crevasse rescue)

  • Trailrunning & Running

    • This is Trailrunning (running with poles, PowerHiking etc. ; 7,5km 375hm)

  • Other workshops

    • Supervised climbing ( all day, without registration)

  • Around 200 exhibitors on the topics of mountaineering, skiing, ski touring, freeriding, climbing, bouldering, trail running, biking, alpine travel, alpine safety, first aid and rescue systems

  • Find your favourite bands in the Exhibitor directory your favourite brands so that you can keep track of everything on site

Costs

  • Standard Online €10.00

  • Reduced €5.00 (senior citizens, people with disabilities, pupils, students, young people (up to the age of 15), military and civilian service)

  • Child free of charge €0.00 (up to the age of 12)

  • Combi ticket

    • Trade fair + panel talk Saturday evening €25.00 (Equipment in transition powered by BOA with Benjamin Raich, Florian Grasel, Max Berger & Lukas Pöstlberger)

    • Trade fair + EOFT (24.11.2024) €25.00

  • With the trade fair ticket, public transport on the VVT lines (REX trains, S-Bahn trains, Citiyjet, regional buses) and IVB (Innsbruck city transport and trams) can be used free of charge throughout Tyrol for arrival and departure.
