Back on Track 2022: new attempt

Contest planned for April!

by PowderGuide 12/09/2021
The popular contest at the Saarbrücker Hütte in the Hike To Ride format had to be canceled the last two winters due to the pandemic. The organizers hope that the 8th edition of the Back on Track Feel Free Ride Contest will finally take place in April 2022.

The most important thing to start with: Registration will open on February 1, 2022 at 8 p.m. Experience has shown that you have to be very quick to get one of the coveted places, so it's best to mark your calendar or set your alarm clock right away.

The contest is scheduled to take place from April 8-10. As in previous editions of the event, the Saarbrücker Hütte will be the home base. Three days of "friendly battling and soul freeriding" are on the program. In other words, there will be a competition for fame and honor and a few prizes in kind, where you can compete with like-minded people without the FWQ system. Afterwards, you simply go skiing or snowboarding together and spend cozy evenings in the hut.

At the moment, 35 participants are planned. As usual, transportation to the hut is by the Vermuntbahn cable car, from the hut you have to walk yourself. The organizers will announce any changes on the BOT social media channels and at http://www.bot-freeride.at/. We hope it stays on the April date this time and keep our fingers crossed for a successful Back on Track 2022!

PS: If you are looking for a hut weekend with solitude and peace and quiet, you are probably better off choosing a different hut on the BOT date.
