The WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF is opening its doors in Davos on June 24, 2023. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the researchers will give all interested parties an insight into their diverse activities.

Why is snow a hot material? How do alpine plants react to climate change? How do natural hazards such as rockfall or avalanches arise, and how can we best protect ourselves against them? At numerous stations on the SLF site, employees answer these and other questions and present the SLF's research into snow, avalanches and other natural hazards in the Alps, as well as permafrost and mountain ecosystems.

Activities for children, exciting presentations, a look inside the new office and workshop building and various catering options round off the program. An excursion for the whole family!
