Alp-Con Cinematour 2019

By dividing the festival into several blocks, the individual adventures have enough space to captivate all visitors. As in previous years, the program is a mixture of international productions and works by local filmmakers.

SNOW - film block

The Snow film block awaits you this time with a total of 3 films. Among them are Roman Rohrmoser and Felix Wiemers. The two freeriders have been skiing together for a decade and have a genuine friendship. In the film "Der Tiroler und sein Piefke", the two show a humorous portrait of themselves and scenes from what is probably their best winter yet. The film "The Collective" also features international ski stars. The film shows the Faction Team and the different types of skiing: from adventure trips to remote peaks to midnight shredding in cities. Skiing and snowboarding even without daylight? In the Arctic Circle, this is part of the local experience, even if it sounds adventurous to us. Manuela Mandel and Hampus Cederholm discover the darkness in their film.

Mountain - Film Block

This year's Mountain Film Block series presents you with "Path to Everest", a documentary about the athlete Kilian Jornet. As a young boy, he drew up a list of all the peaks he wanted to climb one day. He now wants to mark the end of his personal "Summits of My Life" project with the highest mountain on earth, Everest. The film follows the athlete over a total of five years and shows, among other things, his personal challenges. In "Speedtransalp", Benedikt Böhm takes on a challenging crossing of the Alps. The special thing about it: He crosses the Alps in one go, i.e. without any breaks. For those who can't imagine what that means, the route is 210 km long and 14,000 meters in altitude. The freeride world champion Nadine Wallner is not only good at skiing, one of her great passions is also climbing. In "Decisions", she attempts routes where only the absolute elite of climbers have a chance.

Bike - film block

With a total of three longer films and two short films, the bike film block is showing five films this time. One of them is the film "Return to Earth". This is about getting back to the essentials. With "Vision", AMP Global Media is presenting the first freeride media film with a female lead. Veronique Sandler shows the future of her sport and her personal dream trail. "Life of Pie" shows the two entrepreneurs Jen Zeuner and Anne Keller, who moved to Fruita, Colorado in 2002 to find unique single tracks and have time for mountain biking.
