Alexander Schober (Social Media):Zippo hand warmer
Everyone knows it, everyone hates it! We're talking about cold hands... Whether you're ski touring after a summit snack, on an autumn climbing trip to the crag, or simply shopping in the city or at the Christmas market. Cold hands can quickly put you in a bad mood! With the Zippo hand warmers, this problem is quickly forgotten! Simply fill them up with lighter fluid at home, light them and enjoy toasty warm hands for up to 12 hours... or a happy girlfriend/wife thanks to warm hands!
German Wehinger (Conditions Report):Mammut Pro Protection Airbag 45l
More and more, I find myself longing to explore remote and snow-covered areas in the Alps. Such adventures require suitable equipment, but my 35l backpack simply doesn't have enough storage space for multi-day adventures. To fill this gap, I want the bigger brother of my Mammut backpack, the PAS 45l. This will make adventure tours in remote areas a reality.
Tobias Huber (Events):Panasonic DMC-G81
The upper mid-range model in Panasonic's Lumix system camera range combines almost professional DSLR image quality with 4K movie functions at a (relatively) affordable price. You can get similarly good pictures with the much cheaper entry-level model GF7, which initially convinced me of the Micro Four Thirds system (18 mm × 13.5 mm sensor size, 2x crop factor to full format). However, what makes the G81 a perfect all-rounder for mountain adventures is the additional image stabilization built into the body, which makes it possible to take film or zoom shots without a tripod, even with lenses that are not optically stabilized. A housing sealed against dust and splash water sets it apart from the GX80 model, which is only slightly more compact and cheaper, but has very similar internal values. That's why I'm getting the G81 as an uncompromising all-round camera for Christmas this year.
Lorenzo Rieg (gear reviews and tours):The geology of the Alps from the air
I don't need any winter sports equipment at the moment, so I'm making a wish for a book that I've always wanted but never bought myself. "The Geology of the Alps from the Air" is a kind of mixture of illustrated book, non-fiction book and scientific treatise. The Graz geology professor Kurt Stüwe and the photographer Ruedi Homberger from Arosa have put together a great book which has been published by Weishaupt Verlag. Not only geologists and climbers can enjoy the spectacular photos of the mountains...
Johannes Wolf (Social Media & Technik):Lowa Mountain Expert GTX Evo
When it pinches and rubs, it's time for new shoes again. That's why I'm looking for new mountaineering boots this year. The Mountain Expert GTX Evo from Lowa is the answer. An all-round mountain boot for combined high alpine terrain and thanks to Primaloft insulation, your toes might finally stay warm.
