An extremely sturdy, touchscreen-free smartphone case for outdoor enthusiasts - and even suitable for coarse motorists ...
Specials
Instead of a simple plastic case or an ordinary rubber frame, two layers of protection have been integrated into the protective case. The first protective layer consists of a robust, shock-absorbing housing that protects the glass surface of the smartphone from direct impact on flat surfaces. The second layer consists of a soft elastomer inner lining to protect against scratches and knocks. In addition, the outer shell has a smooth finish so that the case slides easily into pockets and bags despite its size.
What can the Peli ProGear Protector do?
The smartphone case also provides protection in the event of heavy falls outdoors - and it's brilliant for that! No matter how high and how far - on the stone floor or on a rock - the iPhone is super impact-protected.
What could be better?
The buttons (on and off button, as well as the volume control + and -) can only be operated with a lot of pressure - but you get used to it. Opening the two shells also requires some force. And it doesn't keep out the cold. On the contrary, the smartphone often complained about the temperature being too low.
The exterior is debatable, I find it a bit clumsy in combination with a rather fine iPhone.
No more without it from now on?
For those who use their smartphone outdoors a lot and don't just carry it in their trouser pocket, the case makes perfect sense. It doesn't cut such a good figure in a trouser pocket, as it is quite massive compared to other cases.
Conclusion
Those who want to avoid leather cases are getting a good deal in terms of protection ;-)
