On our own behalf | ConditionsReporter wanted!

We are looking for motivated ConditionsReporter

by PowderGuide 02/09/2020
The ConditionsReports (CRs) are a central component of PowderGuide and a great help to many freeriders when planning their next powder trip. Without the effort of all ConditionsReporters who write down their impressions concerning snow quality, snow quantity and snow stability during theirs trips, this would not be possible. That's why we want to invite you to become part of the ConditionsReporter team.

There are already quite a few ConditionsReporters, but with you there could be easily one more! We always welcome new members, especially from the currently less well covered Western and Southern Alps, but of course also from other areas in the Alps or Scandinavia, the Balkans and the Pyrenees. Anyone who feels called to contribute to the PG ConditionsReports should bring the following with them:

  • Sufficient freeride and snow experience for writing reports (terms such as "wind sign" or "exposure" should not be foreign to you - ideally you have attended a training course on avalanches or risk management off-piste).

  • 10-20 minutes of your time to write a short report with some meaningful photos whenever you have been freeriding or on tour.

  • Access to the PowderGuide website to write the reports. Of course there is a manual for writing the reports.

ConditionsReporters receive for each report an voucher of our PowderGuide-shop, which they can convert into PowderGuide goodies or freeride-compatible equipment from our partner companies. If you can't do anything with equipment, e.g. because you have an exclusive sponsor, you can also agree a different form of remuneration with us. We are happy to support you with your projects (establishing contacts, media presence, etc.). At the annual end-of-season meetings we endeavour not only to celebrate crazy parties and powder/sulz/bruchharsch days, but also to organise training and further education opportunities.

If you are interested, please contact us at: conditionsreporter (at) powderguide (dot) com

We are looking forward to the rest of the season with you in the ConditionsReporter team!
