After Arcteryx and Black Diamond, Dynafit is now also launching an online video series. The four-part Connections series is all about connecting the past and the future. In the case of Dynafit, Fritz Barthel, the legendary inventor of the first low-tech binding, stands for the past while tinkering in his basement workshop, while North American Dynafit athletes represent the future with their "hard-charging" riding style.
In the first part of the series, Fritz sends the newly developed Radical 2 to Canada, where Eric Hjorleifson and Trevor Hunt try it out. You don't learn much about the bindings, but you see once again how "hard-charging" you can be an expert with Dynafit bindings and get a brief insight into Hoji's basement workshop, where he tinkers with bindings following Fritz's example.
