How does the photo competition work?

This year, the photo competition will take place on Instagram for the first time. Every participant can post as many photos as they like on Instagram each week and tag them with @powderguide and the hashtag #PGfotowettbewerb to take part.

Each week, one winner will be selected from the photos submitted from Monday to Sunday to win small prizes from the PowderGuide product range.

The overall winner will be determined at the end of the photo competition by voting within the PowderGuide editorial team.

The photo competition starts on Monday 18.02.2019, the photo competition ends on Sunday 24.03.2019

The weekly winner will be contacted by PowderGuide by direct message and asked to send their photo to the editorial team by email and agree to the terms of use.

The evaluation

The winning photo is selected each week by the PowderGuide editorial team, as are the overall winners. Photographic quality is the main criterion. This means correctly exposed, sharp and properly edited images are required. Image composition, image statement and a clear reference to winter sports are important and will be assessed. We generally like action photos, but atmospheric landscape shots or lifestyle shots also have a chance.

Current photos are preferred, but being up-to-date is not a prerequisite.
