To write a touring atlas like the "Helvetic Backcountry Tourenatlas", you have to be on the mountain a lot. The guys from Helvetic Backcountry are the ones with the splitboard. And they have been for 7 years. They have summarized how they have fared during this time in a Viedo. Not least because of the impressive success of their touring atlas, the authors were repeatedly asked about their experiences with splitboards. What material is used? What are the advantages and disadvantages and much more. As the guys have been involved in the entire development of splitboards, their opinion carries a lot of weight: after experience with the Voile board with a soft binding, special splitboard bindings à la Spark and improved softbooots, they have now finally landed on a hybrid of the advantages of ski mountaineering and a super ride feeling, namely Dynafit TLT hardboots with Phantom bindings. Markus von Glasenapp & Nicolas Fojtu have now summarized these experiences in a 16-minute video. It's well worth watching, especially for former snowboarders who have switched to touring skis after a lot of trouble with the board.
