Summer break

Towards the end, the winter of 2015/16, which was rather difficult in terms of snow, really stepped on the gas again and in many places in the high mountains there is now more snow than the entire season so far. Those who don't shy away from a bit of ski carrying will still be rewarded - as demonstrated these days by PG Conditions reporters brizair10 in the Engadin and papanaser in the Presanella north flank.

Despite the late snow, we need a break, among other things for some technical maintenance work, and are discontinuing the PowderGuide weather service at the end of this week. As usual, we will start again in the fall when it gets interesting again with the first snowfalls. We would like to thank ZAMG for their cooperation and hope for colder temperatures and lots of colorful fresh snow maps next time. The maps for the fresh snow at the beginning of next week would be a good start if the next winter still needs inspiration. There's still room for improvement:

Even if regular operations are paused, it's worth stopping by PG from time to time in summer: in the southern hemisphere, winter is supposed to be relevant even in summer and biking is known to be beautiful too.
