As an oracle, you have to seek the divine and so I'm sitting at the end of the road in Valais just before the French border, waiting for Ullr's new powder revelation. The alert is valid until Wednesday.
Alert areas:
As you can see, it's another alert for France and western Switzerland from the Hautes Alpes to the Bernese Alps. It is still unclear whether there will be enough alerts from central Switzerland to the Arlberg. Everyone else will probably have to travel or watch.
Snowfall limit:
It will still be around 1200-1800m on Tuesday, depending on how ineralpine or southern you are, and will go all the way down by Wednesday. The higher limits will tend to be in the foothills of the Alps and in France. The wind will blow mightily and staying above the tree line will not only be uncomfortable, but also dangerous due to the massive drifting snow.
The amounts:
Widespread 40-60cm of powder above 1400-1600m from France to the western Valais by Wednesday morning. In potholes on the French-Swiss border, 70-90cm is also possible. I'll report live if the magic meter falls somewhere. From the Kern to the Bernese Oberland, 25-50cm is possible and from central Switzerland to the Arlberg 15-40cm, although it will be widespread in one direction or the other and not from /to depending on the location. So either a lot of widespread or widespread at the lower end. This uncertainty is related to the question of how much will arrive with the current turning to the northwest on Wednesday.
Further east, at least cosmetic amounts may fall. In the south, the models have something in Slovenia/Carinthia/East Italy. But I'm not convinced by the current. So I say 0-60cm are possible there. Helpful, I know. But the oracle says closer to zero than 60. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Tuesday/Wednesday I'd go play in the trees somewhere in the west. If you meet me and it's good, we can have a beer on Ullr. ;) In the medium term you should "cross over" as they used to say in the GDR and visit the golden west as well, because if you want a powder weekend, you should know that Ullr will probably only open the floodgates really wide in the west, even with Alarm 11.
The alert should come on Wednesday or Thursday. It won't be very warm either, so there could be a whole week of powder ahead. A novelty this winter. Yay! Powder to the people!
