Over the past 10 years, PowderGuide co-founder Holger Feist and his snowboard crew have undertaken a number of exciting trips to winter destinations that were often completely unknown at the time and are still very exotic today. The authors traveled to Kamchatka back when the area was still largely a restricted military zone and heliskiing was still impossible there. Other freeride destinations in the book include Lebanon, Kashmir, Japan, Argentina, Uzbekistan and Russia.
