Writing an article about innovations in this area was, however, difficult in several respects in this very special year. While at a "normal" - not digital - ISPO you can stroll through the various trade fair stands, have a direct contact person for brief queries anytime and anywhere and, very importantly, can even touch the textiles with your hands, this year you have to dig through a, let's call it, catalog of all manufacturers that reads no differently than the marketing phrases of the well-known online stores...
For this reason, here is an incomplete, completely subjective list of a few highlights that we found quite interesting from the gut, or that caught our eye elsewhere.

GORE-TEX Pro is reinventing itself: it has been divided into three product technologies that can be combined depending on the intended use. These three new product technologies are: "Most Rugged" for maximum durability, "Stretch" for maximum freedom of movement & "Most Breathable" for maximum breathability.
