Good Old Friend
Friendships can be complicated, especially when they go on for many years and expectations are sometimes disappointed. So why hold on to it? Nevertheless, Ferdinand Möhwald, Victor Heim, Tobias Wörner and Jonas Huser are happy every year when an old friend comes back to visit...
We mean: here's to guitars, winter and friendship!
Moonlines
The video narrative of an original trip mixing two extreme sports in the wild mountain range of Queyras, France: freeskiing and highline. Four female skiers and guides (Silvia Moser, Chloé Roux-Mollard, Aurelia Lanoe, and Coline Ballet-Baz), all sharing the same passion for these two sports, decide to unite them during a few days spent in a remote cabin in the mountains.
We want to: Say yes! That's a creative combination! This is what the future looks like! Favourite film!
Darkhorse
In today's era of outdoor adventure sports where social media followers, engagement, and 'likes' have shaped the industry, an important question remains unanswered: If a snowboarder rides a steep, exposed line in the Whistler backcountry and no one sees it or hears it, did it really happen? Joe Lax would put this age-old philosophical debate to rest- "Who cares"?
A 44-year-old Pemberton local, Lax has created a life defined by snowboarding, family, and wildfire. Despite his accolades in the mountains, leaving his mark on the iconic lines of British Columbia that have defined an industry, you've likely never heard of him. And he's happy to keep it that way.
We think: Sounds exciting!
F.O.M.O.
Who hasn't experienced the "fear of missing out"? A phenomenon that can cause serious stress, especially in Innsbruck with its diverse sporting opportunities and motivated people. Between the psychological background of F.O.M.O., explained by psychologist and professor Verena Dresen, there will be the finest action from the "Sonnenburg Collective" (skiing and snowboarding).
We think: Long overdue treatment of a topic of our community and certainly good to look at!
Bjørnebo - Svalbard
We think: Cool! This looks like a very successful combination of challenging freeriding, artistic filming and adventurous ambience!
LEXICON
We feel: JaPow in its most primal form, Yeah Duuuude!
Space Craft
We like this: Take off and spin it!
Unlikely Duo
We notice: Ski mountaineer meets freerider.
The Pass
Rogers Pass represents one of the most complicated avalanche control programmes in the world. Ski touring through its storied terrain is only possible thanks to the visionary mountain guide who architected the ski system years ago, and the woman she mentored who's now at the haed of that avalanche programme. The stakes are higher than most skiers could ever imagine.
We think: Avalanche protection is a complex matter!
O-Ton: "Nature still has a tendency to surprise us!"
