And those who are not vigilant will have to deal with the negative effects of the free movement of air masses, as unwanted immigrants from distant Africa and the Mediterranean region make their way here, threatening the abundance of snow in the Alpine republics. The snow line will fluctuate between 1000 m at the beginning and end (Sunday) and around 2200-2400 during the strongest warm air supply in the northwest, such as the Fribourg Alps. In the southwest from the Hautes Alpes to the Mediterranean it should stay above 1800-2000 m with snow. It should remain cooler in the south and in the Aosta Valley and snow should always remain above 1200-1500 m. It may fall further down, but it's already damn warm and I don't really see such cooling precipitation. The glop limit could be 200-300 m higher, as has often been said.
It will snow until Friday and then clear up on Friday. The strong warming will come in the afternoon, peaking early Saturday morning and disappearing again with the new front. Due to the upper-level flow, the largest amounts should come down in the west in southwest dust holes. By Friday morning, around 20-30 cm will fall from the Hautes Alpes to the Bernese Alps, otherwise not much. By Sunday there will be 20-50 cm from central Switzerland to the Hautes Alpes, very occasionally possibly 60 cm (all above the glop limits). The center should be on Mont Blanc, in the lower Valais and in parts of France. After that, Ullr seems to take pity on all snow conservatives again and will lower the temperature level back to normal seasonal values from Monday.
