Dropping In - Len JĂžrgensen
We dropped in on Len JĂžrgensen at his place in Heggedal, outside Oslo, where he lives with his partner Amanda, daughter Livia and their dog, Ronja. We timed our arrival perfectly and were able to enjoy powsurfing and snowboarding in the woods, dig a banked slalom course for his friends, make and eat pizza, and get a tour of his home and yard. Lenny Powers is a true shred freak and it was a pleasure for us to get an insight into his daily life.
Achtung: Keine Begehung vom 20.01. Die Gammerspitze ĂŒber die Jeneweinrinne ist eine rassige Skitour die ĂŒber ca. 1150 Meter sehr direkt nach oben fĂŒhrt. Die Tour wurde schon immer gerne als Abfahrt durchgefĂŒhrt. Ich halte es fĂŒr sinnvoller, das was man Abfahren will auch vorher im Aufstieg zu erkunden. Es sind nur sehr wenige ParkplĂ€tze - bei uns waren es 2 ohne den Holzstaple zuzuparken - direkt am Ausgangsort vorhanden. Unbedingt eine Parkmöglichkeit finden, bei der kein Einheimischer behindert wird. Dann geht es allerdings los, erst eine sehr schmale Waldschneise nach oben, dann eine wesentlich breitere und flachere Schneise. Einen steilen Föhrenhang ĂŒberwinden und ĂŒber kupiertes GelĂ€nde nach oben hin immer steiler werdend die beste Möglichkeit zum Ausstieg beim Gipfel suchen. Unbedingt auf Lawinen und Schneebretter achten, die Tour darf nur bei sicheren VerhĂ€ltnissen durchgefĂŒhrt werden.
Anmerkung: Tourdatum 06.01.2024 - Tour war auch noch vom 09.01 bis ca. 14.01 gut möglich.

Despite a low tide winter season in Europe Thomas Trifonitchev also known as 'Coach Trifes' or 'Trifes' took full advantage of his scarce opportunities to get in front of the lens.
In his own words:
This part wasnât even planned to be honest. Only half way into the season I realized Iâll be at three shootings as a guest and I might as well use them to create a piece - I donât get to shoot that often so I was very stoked about it. The goal was to underline my tall 6â4 and beefy-looking being with some creative tricks, proper grabs, and big landings. Iâm hyped to showcase our LINE Chronic Collection in a true all-mountain fashion, ski anywhere kind of way, and carry the design of the series throughout the edit.
As I started to feel like people merely view me as a coach and not an active skier - Iâve chosen the title 'Revenant'. I hope youâll vibe with it and special thanks to LINE for inviting me to Utah and Dennis Ranalter for the inclusion in the Descendant Movie. Go watch it if you havenât already.â
Nikolai Schirmer Took Me Skiing.
Last week we were able to meet up with @Nikolai_Schirmer & @kriskopa for a day of touring in St. Anton, Austria.
I have been a huge fan of Nikolai's & how he is able to showcase amazing skiing while telling interesting stories Through watching Nikos videos I have been quite in aww of krister & his ability to snowboard gnarly terrain with ease. So it was a blast linking up with them while they are filming for a new video project releasing this fall.
The day was absolutely amazing & we were able to ski so much good terrain, It is a real eye opener as to what is possible when you are out with the big dogs, Big thank you to Niko, Krister, & Vettlet for the wonderful day & for taking these two American Cowboyâs out on a lovely day.

Es findet sich keine skifahrerische Brillianz, aber allerhand Wissenswertes rund um die Berge. Die Hierarchie und Reichweite der Alpenvereine bleibt relativ unverĂ€ndert und wir halten all ihre BemĂŒhungen um Nachhaltigkeit und best practices in Ehren.
Viele aus der alten Snowboardschule werden Ueli Kestenholz noch kennen. Ueli war Snowboardweltmeister 2000 und 2001, Bronzemedaillengewinner bei den Olympischen Spielen und Speedrider der ersten Stunde. Ueli zeigt uns sein neuestes Projekt âSpeedridingâ in einer dreiteiligen Webisode.
