A good insulating layer is part of the basic equipment for many outdoor activities in winter. While classic down jackets offer maximum warmth, down vests score points above all for their low weight, high freedom of movement and versatility. Over the past few weeks, I have been able to test this down insulation vest on various activities - including ski tours, trail running and everyday life on cold winter days.
