In the second part of our report from ISPO 2015 in Munich, we also present the new freeride ski boots and bindings. One thing up front: there weren't many real "bangers". Most manufacturers have limited themselves to product maintenance in the boots segment, but especially in the bindings segment. However, we did find a few goodies. Here is an overview of the most interesting products for the 2015/16 season from the various manufacturers.

Due to an avalanche after a fall of the second starter Julien Lopez, the competition in Kappl (replacement for the competition in Fieberbrunn, which was canceled on Saturday) was also canceled on Tuesday. But the most important thing: Julien is fine.

After the contest was moved to the replacement face, there was only enough snow for the women's skiing. The men's and women's snowboard and men's ski competitions had to be postponed to Kappl on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 8:30 am. On the face in Fieberbrunn, which was peppered with pines and stones, many skiers had difficulties last Saturday and in the end the ladies who were able to calculate the risk correctly and finish their run safely came out on top.

For a long time it looked as if the organizers would have to look for a replacement face. But the snowfall of the last few days made the 2nd stop of the FWT in Fieberbrunn possible. After the first points of the 2015 season were awarded in Chamonix, the search for the perfect run continues in the Kitzbühel Alps.

Against the breathtaking backdrop of the Mont Blanc massif, the best freeriders on skis and boards battled it out for the first points of the 2015 FWT season on January 24, 2015. After an exciting competition in challenging snow conditions, a striking number of former overall FWT winners were to be found on the podium at the end.

Since mid-December, the Swiss sporting goods manufacturer with US roots has been publishing a new freeride-related story every ten days on its "Moments of Freeride" blog.

The Line of the Year Awards were presented for the first time during the Kitzbühel Freeride Weeks. The jury and audience had previously made their decision and Sandra Lahnsteiner and Fabi Lentsch were delighted to receive the wooden chamois buck and a number of prizes.

With the G1 130, Scott is offering a genuine, stiff freeride boot with ascent function for the 2014/15 season, but with a clear focus on downhill performance. We have extensively tested how this combination proves itself in practice and how the boot performs in its intended area of use of freeriding - but also in many other types of skiing.

After a really bad last season in the north, many of you know: Freeriding is no walk in the park for people and, above all, equipment. The desire for off-piste turns is huge. However, in combination with little base and even less powder, it often causes considerable damage to the boards that mean the world to many of us. After short outbursts of anger, often followed by strong self-doubt (I knew it, I should have saved myself that...), the question then arises: "How do I get it fixed now?". And this is where the two-component adhesive (2k adhesive) makes its grand entrance...

With the Photo Scout, the bag and backpack specialist Evoc is expanding its photo series with an all-round backpack. In addition to the obligatory protective compartment for photo and video equipment, the Photo Scout is equipped with many features that are familiar and appreciated from Evoc's bike and snow backpacks.

Following the successful premiere of the film and photo contests at the Kitzbühel Freeride Weeks last year, film and photo teams will once again have the chance to win some impressive prizes this year. If you would like to take part and have the chance to win the "Line of the Year" title with your work, you must register by December 3, 2014.

As in previous years, the Freeride Film Festival is going on tour again this year. Filmmakers and riders will once again visit cities in Austria, Germany and Poland. This year, national and international productions will be shown, including "Mission Steeps" with Samuel Anthamatten, Xavier De Le Rue and Andreas Fransson, who was recently involved in an accident.
