Powder-Magazine - Winter issue 2012
Marius Schwager • 01/20/2012The internet always provides us with beautiful and free finds. This is also the case with Powder magazine's winter 2012 issue. Designed as an e-magazine, it delights internet skiers with its simple, free clicking pleasure and is in no way inferior to its printed paid competition at the kiosk in terms of content. Easy reading pleasure with nice freeride pictures, an appealing design and interesting reports. -

Marius Schwager • 01/19/2012The second tour stop of the Freeride World Tour will take place in Chamonix next weekend from January 21, 2012. There are probably few places that have the aura of Chamonix, nowhere are the mountains so high, the descents so steep and the flair so fitting. PG reporter Totti is LIVE on location and reports on the events up close. -

Video finds of the week 12 - week 02
Marius Schwager • 01/09/2012Net videos are a great thing. They are all free, some are well produced, with a simple click you are right in the middle of the action and – even if some people can't understand it at the moment – you don't have to go powdering yourself. Another excuse for lazy skiers. Here again is the essence of the films that have flickered across our screens over the past few days. -

Gear of the Week - Bosch CSB and Wera PZ 3
Marius Schwager • 12/27/2011Today's product of the week consists of a set of two: a universal Bosch drill in combination with a Wera Lasertip PZ3 screwdriver. Two products that are indispensable for mounting bindings at home and have already given the PG editorial team a lot of pleasure. -

Video finds of the week 10 | KW 52
Marius Schwager • 12/26/2011The last video finds of the week for 2011 inspire the PG editorial team not with quantity, but with class. In addition to a seasonedit by Eva Walkner and another Helmcam adventure by Andreas Fransson, we are particularly impressed by the full freeride film by the Free Radicals, which is 39 minutes long. -

Storm Chasing Diary | Day four – The powder bath
Marius Schwager • 12/21/2011We've been chasing the powder snow for three days now. A sunny day would be our wish for day four. But once again, things turn out differently than we had planned. Instead of gaining altitude in open terrain, it snows again, we turn around the Valais trees again and treat ourselves to a final powder bath. -

Storm Chasing Diary | Day two and three – Savoir vivre
Marius Schwager • 12/20/2011The alarm clock rudely wakes us from our half-sleep. The display shows five o'clock, but we can't ignore the annoying ringing - after all, our mission is deep-snow skiing! That means getting up early and catching the first lift. And the journey is long again today: the destination is Valais. -

Storm chasing (17.12.2011), St. Anton am Arlberg
Marius Schwager • 12/17/2011The PowderAlert from the PG oracle was not too high. Hurricane-force winds and heavy snowfall in the westerlies. As there is not much fresh snow to be had with the Innsbruck base in such a westerly accumulation, the motto is: "Go West!". The first storm chasing day on the Arlberg has already more than fulfilled expectations.
